Best Dressed Men at the 2024 Met Gala
Here's to the men who decided to go all out and embrace the drama of yesterday's event—because that's what the Met Gala is all about... DRAMA.
While it's common for the majority of male guests to show up in simple tuxedos, often disregarding the theme, there are always a few who decide to fully commit, and that effort is always appreciated.
Here are my top 10 best-dressed men of the night— Drop yours in the comments!
Wisdom Kaye
Wisdom Kaye made a grand debut at the Met Gala wearing a custom fiery red trench coat with burnt accents created by Robert Wun. A deserving invite, as Wisdom had one of the best—if not THE best—Met Gala debuts of the night. It's clear this is exactly where he's meant to be.
Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny wore a custom Maison Margiela Artisanal Collection by John Galliano—a popular collection in the world of fashion currently. He arrived on the carpet with a floral bouquet in hand, made of the same material as his jacket. The flora inside the bouquet tells a story all its own.
Ben Simmons
Brooklyn Nets basketball player Ben Simmons wore custom Thom Browne, with the addition of a clock briefcase, which was an extremely literal interpretation of the theme.
Reece Feldman
Film Director Reece Feldman also wore an exciting and eye-catching custom Thom Browne look. The incorporation of embroidery depicting the garden from J.G. Ballard's “The Garden of Time” story throughout the suit was an excellent touch.
Willy Chavarria and Marc Metrick
Willy Chavarria and Marc Metrick sported Willy Chavarria looks from the brand's Spring Summer 2024 collection.
Dan Levy
Actor, writer, and director Dan Levy opted for a simple yet playful look, sporting a black to-ombre rose design suit crafted by Jonathan Anderson of Loewe.
Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton opted for an all-black ensemble with a wool coat accentuated by floral embroidery, created by Burberry. An exciting hidden detail: on the inside, a quote from Alex Wharton's 'The Gardener' poem was embroidered.
Sebastian Stan
Actor Sebastian Stan wore an all-black floor-length trench coat with black rose detailing designed by AMI, paired with jewelry from Cartier.
Jonathan Bailey
Actor Jonathan Bailey made a statement in a custom Loewe design by Jonathan Anderson, showcasing a double-breasted white suit jacket. The designer added flair with an oversized floral embellishment, complemented by a matching smaller version adorning his pants.
Jeff Goldblum
Actor Jeff Goldblum made a statement in a Prada ensemble featuring a tuxedo jacket adorned with three Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany brooches. He also wore a fringed woven shawl and recited Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven" on the carpet—adding an extra flair of fun and innovation.
So, did these men do the theme justice?
