We’re Back! Applications Open for Our Winter 2025 Student Writing Program
As I open applications for the Winter 2025 cohort, I can’t wait to see the creativity and passion that this next group of students will bring.
What is the Student Writing Program?
This program is all about creating space for emerging voices to shine. Over the course of several weeks, participants will work closely with me, your Editor-in-Chief, to research and craft stories that reflect their unique perspectives on fashion and culture. It’s more than just writing – it’s about learning, growing, and being part of a community shaping fashion journalism’s future.
Whether you’re a student with a knack for storytelling or know someone who’s always dreamed of breaking into fashion journalism, I encourage you to apply!
How to Apply:
To be considered, send an email to itsfashiontalk@gmail.com with the subject line:
Winter 2025 Fashion Talk Student Writer Application.
Include the following:
Your Information: Name, school year, and major.
Personal Statement: Share why you’re interested in fashion journalism and what you hope to gain from the experience.
Article Pitches: Pitch a max of three topics you’d love to write about, with a brief description of each.
Experience: Attach your resume and writing samples, if you have any.
Social Media: Provide links to your Instagram and LinkedIn profiles.

Writers Chosen: December 23rd, 2024
