New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2025 Countdown!
You know, time seems to be flying by much faster these days… but somehow standing still at the same time. Strange, right?
Yes— another fashion week is around the corner.
I can’t help but feel my inner child come alive. There’s something about New York that always has a spark—but during Fashion Week, that spark ignites into something even bigger. The sun shines brighter, the air feels crisper, and the city buzzes with an almost palpable energy.
It’s the excitement of wandering through the streets, connecting with people who share the same passion and excitement for the art of fashion. You forge bonds, however fleeting, that make you appreciate the moment even more.
But enough of that…let’s get into the schedule!
What You Should Know:
Kicking off on September 6th, over 60 brands will present their Spring Summer 2025 collections. This season is packed with surprises.
First up: Alaïa. Yes, ALAÏA. After skipping haute couture week in June, they’ll be making their NYFW debut on September 6th. For those unfamiliar, Alaïa is the legendary fashion house founded by the late Azzedine Alaïa, one of the most revered couturiers in history. Pieter Mulier now leads the creative direction, and I can’t wait to see what they bring to the NYFW stage.
Also on the 6th, AREA, a personal favorite, will be celebrating their 10th anniversary—congratulations to them! Another major debut this season? Off-White, helmed by Ib Kamara, will be showing in New York for the first time after years of presenting in Paris. What surprises does Ib have up his sleeve? I’m hopeful the spirit of the late Virgil Abloh will continue to shine through in these collections. We’ll find out on September 8th.
Two more exciting debuts: Toteme, the Stockholm-based minimalist brand, will show on September 10th, and Ronald Van der Kemp, known for being the world’s first sustainable couture label, will debut on September 11th.
Some other fun news…
Theophilio is back on the schedule after canceling in February, and we’re seeing the return of NYFW favorites like 3.1 Phillip Lim, Khaite, Carolina Herrera, Coach, Collina Strada, Eckhaus Latta, Michael Kors, and Tory Burch.
Now, I know many of us may not have access to these coveted shows (yet!), but don’t worry—plenty of brands will livestream their collections, so you can catch all the magic from the comfort of your home. You can find the streams on the brands' social media or right here.
Not attending the shows?
Here Are Some Hotspots Forbes Has Listed That You Can Hit Up:
Dr. Clark
This 2020-opened spot has quickly become a staple of the downtown fashion scene, bringing together people with its vibrant atmosphere and karaoke nights.
Caviar Kaspia at The Mark
This chic spot is participating in NYFW: The Menu, blending fashion and cuisine. With a special menu and a chance to win Fashion Week tickets, it's definitely worth a reservation.
Temple Bar
The SoHo hotspot has become NYFW’s unofficial kickoff party venue. Who knows whom you might spot there—thanks to its famously dim lighting, everyone’s identity is a mystery.
The Nines
With "it girls" like Cara Delevingne, Anne Hathaway, and Sienna Miller often spotted here, this NoHo bar is likely to be buzzing during Fashion Week.
Jean’s
This two-story fashion hub hosted designer Eckhaus Latta’s post-show celebration last season, and it's back as part of NYFW: The Menu.
