Three Days Until London Fashion Week!
This year marks 40 years of London Fashion Week, “a celebration of London’s status as a global cultural capital and a hub of creativity.” The LFW40 anniversary highlights the city’s role in nurturing both established and emerging talent, making it one of the most anticipated fashion events worldwide.
What You Should Know:
This season’s Spring/Summer 2025 shows will take place from Thursday, September 12th to Tuesday, September 17th, featuring a mix of digital and physical presentations. The schedule promises an exciting blend of industry veterans and fresh talent, all showcasing their visions for the future of fashion.
To mark LFW40, this season's City Wide Celebration extends beyond London, reaching Manchester and Newcastle. The celebration features unique public experiences, including designer Q&As, workshops on Zero-Waste Craftsmanship and upcycling, live performances, and exclusive product drops. It’s all about inclusivity and sustainability.
Kicking off on September 12th at 6 pm, eBay is putting sustainability front and center with the "eBay Endless Runway", curated by Pre-Loved Style Director Amy Bannerman. Hosted exclusively on the eBay app, the runway will showcase iconic archival pieces from designers who have shaped UK fashion over the past 40 years, including J.W. Anderson, Christopher Kane, and Simone Rocha. You can watch and shop live!
Spotlight on Emerging Designers
The British Fashion Council's NewGen initiative will feature several promising talents throughout the week. NewGen is credited for launching the careers of designers like Kim Jones, Jonathan Anderson, Simone Rocha, and Grace Wales Bonner. This season, the NewGen catwalk returns to its former home at 180 The Strand, and seven new designers will showcase their work, including Charlie Constantinou, Lueder, Pauline Dujancourt, and Yaku Stapleton, whose 2023 Central Saint Martins collection earned him the prestigious L’Oréal Professionnel Creative Award.
In addition to these emerging talents, Puppets and Puppets, a New York label, will be part of this year’s lineup, further emphasizing the international scope of the event.
LFW Schedule Highlights
Burberry, JW Anderson, and Simone Rocha will showcase their collections alongside other major names.
Events such as Richard Quinn and Nensi Dojaka's shows promise to be showstoppers.
