Guest Writer Terms
Fashion Talk (FT) is dedicated to empowering fashion journalists, fashion students exploring fashion writing, and fashion enthusiasts by offering an inclusive platform for them to share insights and explore important topics in the fashion industry. Guest Writers (you) can share relevant information and articles with Fashion Talk readers! If you’re interested in being a Guest Writer, please email us at itsfashiontalk@gmail.com. By providing your Submission to us, you accept these Guest Writing Terms:
1. Publication
Submission does not guarantee publication. FT is under no obligation to use your Submission and reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse to publish your Submission or delete your article from the website at any time without notification.
2. Use of Images
FT reserves the right to edit or remove images in your Submission. You shall observe copyright or usage restrictions, obtain permission for use, and cite the source of your image.
3. Ownership
3a. You acknowledge that you wrote all of the text in your Submission and did not copy it from anywhere else or if you did copy, you have all permissions necessary to use the text. Plagiarism or copyright infringement is not permitted. Affiliate links shall not be included in your Submission as well.
3b. You warrant that all statements asserted as facts in your Submission are either true or else based upon generally accepted professional research practices.
3c. You shall have the written permission of any person or business that appears in your text, photos, or video to use their name, image, likeness, voice, or other identifying features in your Submission and related promotion and to permit FT to do the same.
3d. You are also responsible for the content you provide to FT in your Submission. You assure that Submission will not violate anyone’s privacy rights.
4. Editorial Ownership
4a. You give FT a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable right to reproduce, distribute, publicly display, perform, make derivative works of, and otherwise use your Submission, or any part of it.
4b. FT reserves the right to edit, partially or completely, every submission, including headlines and subheadings.
4c. If you are concerned that any changes made by FT require further modification, you shall immediately let us know.
5. Author’s Ownership of Copyright
You will notify FT of your intention to republish any part of your Submission. You agree to waive the exercise of these rights until twelve months after the Submission has been published on Fashion Talk. Further, you will ensure that FT is noted in any re-publication as the site of first publication of the Submission.
6. Use of Personal Information
You give FT the right to use and share your name, picture, and bio in connection with the publication and marketing of your Submission.
7. Our Relationship
7a. You will receive no payment but will get the opportunity for your article to potentially reach a wider audience. However, FT does not guarantee any particular site or audience reach.
7b. You are not an employee or agent of us or a business partner. You are not allowed to use FT’s logo or name in a way that implies we are partners or have endorsed you, your website, blog, or any other products of yours. Any use of FT’s likeness requires our express written permission.
8. Changes
FT reserves the right to change these Guest Writing terms at any time. If we decide to change this document, we will post these changes on this page. All changes are effective immediately upon posting so check back here regularly.
9. Miscellaneous Provision
These Guest Writing terms will begin upon when you provide your Submission and will continue unless terminated hereunder. By providing a Submission to FT, you agree that you have read and understood these Guest Writing terms and agree to be bound by it. In case of non-performance or improper performance of obligations, the law shall be followed.
